Welcome to Centre Region COG
The Centre Region Council of Governments is a voluntary association of State College Borough and the townships of College, Halfmoon, Harris, Ferguson and Patton. It was established in 1969 to provide cost effective and high quality public services. The COG's service area is about 150 square miles with a population of 92,000 residents. COG News
It's official! The Centre Region is a Bicycle Friendly Community!
The State College–Centre Region area has been named a Bronze Level Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists. Please join us at the COG for a brief ceremony announcing this award on Thursday, May 17.

Development of Regional Impact (DRI) Application for Calvary Baptist Church
At its March 26, 2012 meeting, the COG General Forum voted to allow a Development of Regional Impact application for approximately 28 acres in Harris Township to be brought forward outside of the established review schedule. Based on the Centre Region Growth Boundary/Sewer Service Area Implementation Agreement, the Centre Regional Planning Commission (CRPC) will review the DRI application at its regular meetings in May and June, and the COG General Forum will review and take action on the application at its regular meeting in June.

Miscellaneous Plastics DROP-OFF Recycling Program
Beginning this Friday, March 16, the Centre County Recycling & Refuse Authority will add MISCELLANEOUS PLASTIC CONTAINERS to our DROP OFF recycling program. This includes yogurt containers, strawberry containers, etc.
